To all who have served or are serving, may your Veteran’s Day be filled with family, friends, and loved ones. And to those underway or who are deployed, may your bunkmate not smell of jet fuel.
I would be remiss if I did not also wish a Happy Remembrance Day to our friends abroad.
Rick Rogala, a Sailor who served aboard the USS Pueblo (AGER-2), is starting a campaign to free the US ship from North Korean control. On Veterans Day, that certainly sounds like a worthy goal. He was one of 83 Sailors captive for eleven months over there. . .
In honor of Veteran’s Day, the NCAA Carrier Classic was played aboard the USS Carl Vinson:

President Barack Obama sat courtside and watched No. 1 North Carolina beat Michigan State 67-55 on Friday night in the Carrier Classic on the flight deck of the USS Carl Vinson.
