Risky Cuts

Cpl. Zachary Cline gets a haircut from Lance Cpl. Jerhson Hernandez on Forward Operating Base Sabit Qadam, Helmand province, Afghanistan, on Nov. 21. Cline and Hernandez, both riflemen, are assigned to Headquarters and Service Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 7.

ISAF Trainers Told to Get Closer

Normally, I like to caption military pictures. With something snarky. But Stars and Stripes beat me to it. They titled this article: ISAF trainers told to get closer to Afghan partners to prevent insider attacks. And this picture accompanied it:

U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Sharif Muzayen, squad leader, Police Advisor Team 2, Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 6, trains an Afghan Local Police (ALP) recruit on the proper technique for firing his weapon on Forward Operating Base Sabit Qadam, Helmand province.

Now that is teamwork!
