I don’t particularly like drama. Life throws plenty of curveballs, there is no need to generate them. Linda Chase and her pal Charles Zigler, Paul Morris, and Michaela Lee will now illustrate this theory.
Our first story should warm the hearts of all you NASCAR fans:
Linda Chase, 72, said she kept the remains of Charles Zigler clean and dressed and talked to the body while watching NASCAR on television.
“It’s not that I’m heartless. … I didn’t want to be alone. He was the only guy who was ever nice to me,” Chase told the Jackson Citizen Patriot.
At least she dressed him. (I’m sympathetic with her, provided – and this is a big one – she did not outfit him Dale Jr gear.)
Paul Morris’ story is equally bizarre:
A city councilman in Northern California says an attempt to say hello went sour when an unknown man knocked him out and later dumped him at a horse racing track.
The Contra Costa Times reports that San Pablo City Councilman Paul Morris went to greet a tenant July 3 at a property he manages in nearby Richmond. Morris says a man suddenly burst from the door screaming “get out” and punched him.
I hate it when I get dumped at the horse track. It really ruins the day. But not as much as a raccoon attack:
A Washington state woman suffered 16 puncture wounds and over 100 lacerations after being attacked by a pack of raccoons.
Twenty-eight-year-old Michaela Lee was jogging on a trail near her Lakewood home when her dog spotted two raccoons and chased them up a tree.
She had just gotten to her neighbor’s yard when she tripped over them. As soon as she fell, the raccoons began to viciously attack, biting her arms and legs as she lay trapped under them. Seconds later, Lee’s dog ran up and began biting and growling at them, scaring several of them off and giving Lee enough time to get on her feet.
Her dog, Madison, deserves an extra treat or two tonight. Like some filet mignon. Nothing says good boy like ‘dat schtuff. . .
