Blackadder, Rowan Atkinson

I was tempted to think that this was a joke, that Mr. Bean, ol’ Rowan Atkinson, tricked his insurance company into paying $1.4 million to fix a car he paid a warm 1 mill for in 1997.

His maroon McLaren F1 was severely damaged after Edmund Blackadder hit a slippery patch. He is lucky that the car is highly collectable. I just saw one in the television show Person of Interest, as the car of a billionaire techie.

Still, I will not be investing in one. I have to think of gas mileage on my long commute.
