‘You should receive a medal’: Green Beret mocks Gwyneth Paltrow for comparing celebrities to soldiers in sarcastic letter.article-2644315-1E58788200000578-429_636x382The firestorm sparked by Gwyneth Paltrow’s remarks comparing online hackling of celebrities to being in a war raged on Friday as a member of the U.S. Army special forces slammed the actress in a sarcastic column. Green Beret Bryan Sikes addressed the recently separated star of Shakespeare in Love in the form of a personal letter, which appeared on the site Clash Daily run by conservative commentator and author Doug Giles.240842-gwyneth-paltrow-oscars-2012-capeGwyneth Paltrow and other combatants at the Oscar Battleground in La-La-Land! 2014.

‘I’d first like to start out by saying how terrible I feel for you and all your friends that on a daily basis have to endure mean words written by people you don’t know. ‘I can only imagine the difficulty of waking up in a 12,000 square foot Hollywood home and having your assistant retrieve your iPhone, only to see that the battery is low and someone on twitter (the social media concept that you and all of your friends contribute to on an hourly basis to feed your ego and narcissistic ways), has written a mean word or 2 about you.’ Sgt First Class Sikes continued in this derisive vain, suggesting that Paltrow, 41, should ‘receive a medal’ for enduring verbal abuse online at the hands of ‘meanies.’ Green-Beret-mocks-Gwyneth-Paltrow-comparing-celebrities-to-combat-soldiers-in-sarcastic-letter.

What a delusional world these bloody celebrity people live in…            Yours Aye.

  1. Nothing like ridiculing a ‘star’ is there, EB? ..and her comparison only proves in her own small mind how helpless, overinflated and meaningless her real life is. A pathetic human being who thinks she can compare and contrast herself with a true hero, a soldier…my condolences to her. She is a poor excuse for a human being and she knows it. We should at the end of the day feel pity for such silly people….k

    1. Kristen, the foul stench of war would be sufficient to bring her and her like down to earth with a heavy bump. Aye.

  2. I have always said that the “big” movie stars are overpaid and mollycoddled far too much, they need to start living in the real world for once.

    1. Gary, it never ceases to amaze me just how quickly fame can change a person. There are some who shun it as they class what they do as pure work (Daniel Craig springs to mind.) Then we have the wannabes from X Factor etc, who drool over the thought. The real world tends to come back fast and hard when they fall from their self erected pedestals. Aye.
