  1. Always maintain a good relationship with ‘tubes’ or ‘drop shorts’ as you never know when you may need their assistance close up and personal.

    They provided some great characters within the RM’s, and its not for the fainthearted to man pack a Mortar system over a 15 mile yomp, or even a speed march.

  2. Michael Fay did this wonderful painting several years ago called “Danger Close.” For some reason, it stuck in my mind. I love Mike’s art and maybe him too.
