Blue Angels Canceled?

Are the Blue Angels being cancelled? Not quite yet? If not yet, then what are the guys doing in the meantime? Blue Angels pilot Dave Tickle said he is focused on practicing maneuvers for an upcoming show in California instead of worrying about how federal spending cuts will threaten performances this year by the U.S. Navy’s renowned flight demonstration squadron. Blue Angels shows scheduled in more than two dozen cities between April and September are expected to be canceled as part of the cuts, said the team’s spokeswoman, Lieutenant Katie Kelly. Some shows featuring the Blue Angels already have been called off in the face of budget uncertainties. For you grammar purists, please read the difference between cancelled and canceled.

  1. Do you see this as a problem for the navy and personal in the future? You have been kinda quiet on the issue. Staying out of the line of fire?

  2. Anytime the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds are nearby, I love to go see them. The Canadian Snowbirds were at the last air show that we attended. I would hate to see any shows cancelled (canceled).
