My Jihad, Now Improved with Flowers

My jihad is an ad campaign for Islam. It seeks to soften the rough edges of jihad into something more palatable. Like the user-submitted ad below with posies and butterflies:

My jihad is to be grateful for the little blessings of nature.

My jihad is to be grateful for the little blessings of nature.

This new #MyJihad outreach is tremendously encouraging. Suddenly, I don’t need to worry about trifles like this. Guess I can cancel my Generation Identity ID card, call the EDL and tell them I don’t really need that red-and-white hockey mask I ordered from ‘em. Sigh, posies and butterflies. It has a Gilbert and Sullivan get-back-to-nature ring to it.

  1. You can paint flowers and butterflies on an ‘improvised explosive device’, which is an inert object and harmless, until you pull out the contact pin to to arm it.

When it detonates the butterflies and flowers evaporate along with the bodies extremities; only then is its true capacity and intent revealed.

    As Peter Pan said…

    Never smile at a crocodile!
No, you can’t get friendly with a crocodile.
Don’t be taken in by his welcome grin.
He’s imagining how well you’d fit within his skin!
    Never smile at a crocodile!
Never dip your hat and stop to talk awhile.
    Never run, walk away,
    say good-night, not good-day.
Clear the aisle but never smile at Mister Crocodile!

You may very well be well bred,
Lots of etiquette in your head,
But there’s always some special case, time or place,
    To forget etiquette!
For instance, never smile at a crocodile!
No, you can’t get friendly with a crocodile.
Don’t be taken in by his welcome grin,
He’s imagining how well you’d fit within his skin!

    Yours Aye.

  2. “…oh the flowers that bloom in the spring tra-la…”
    [The Mikado. Gilbert & Sullivan]

although I am thinking that “I have a little list” might be more apt… :D

  9. What’s funny is that, if that picture was published in Iran or Saudi Arabia or the Maldives or Egypt or wherever else real jihad is waged, that sweet little girl would be enveloped in a burqa.

If this was a real movement to move Islam away from its Dark Ages aggression, I might find it charming. As it’s almost certainly an effort to sugar coat Jihad’s militaristic purpose, I don’t like it.

    • Never forget with Islam, you always get a choice: convert, submit, or die.
