DC Comics has invited Orson Scott Card, author of the Ender’s Game, to write for DC’s Adventures of Superman. And the usual suspects are more-than-mildly peeved:

Per the link, he belongs to the National Organization for Marriage? Hmmm, nom nom nom.
So this Jono Jarrett guy and actor Michael Hartney both talk about truth, justice, and the American Way, but they want Orson Scott Card fired for his beliefs. I’m thinking Jarrett and Hartney do not know what the American Way is.
Certain segments of the population cannot abide dissent. Tolerance is not enough. There must be routine acceptance and even celebration for all sorts of lifestyles. I tolerate a lot. Acceptance is a much narrower category.
The only thing the Left can’t tolerate is an opposing opinion.
I remember this guy….great science fiction writer…why does anyone care about his personal beliefs; they’re personal and no one’s business but his…when did the subject come up anyway?? Again, you disagree with them, you’re not only wrong, your life and your reputation needs to be destroyed because you’re a threat.,,,k
