Politicians Can Lie

Political scandals have a way of revealing entitlement. That the politician thinks himself/herself entitled to carry on in a certain way. That they are above the law or too beloved to be caught. Look at the mess Bob Menendez wrought with Dr. Salomon Melgen. Also, scummy pols have a way of ensnaring others in their mess: Dr. Theresa Hatcher said she last talked to Nebraska Lt. Gov. Rick Sheehy about two weeks ago. She added: “Politicians can lie. Doctors don’t lie.”

  1. Every living person carries the stupidity button within their DNA box.

Highly intelligent people in paid positions of power tend to use it far more often than those who depend upon their own wits and wisdom to make a living!

The same people who repeatedly hit the stupidity button tend to over use the arrogance and denial buttons to compensate.

Only when the arrogance and denial buttons are worn out do they reach for the apology button. Then with gritted teeth and a steely-eyed fix; they push it. Within their DNA control box this button remains in mint condition as it is rarely ever used.

“But I want to say one thing to the American people. I want you to listen to me. I’m going to say this again: I did not have sexual relations with that woman”.

  2. The good news is that the Lt Gov is now the FORMER Lt Gov. When confronted by the Omaha World-Herald(Weird Harold) on Saturday, he “abruptly” resigned. Good. Why do people in public position think they are going to get away with these “indiscretions”?

  3. EB: Ah that clip. It has been awhile since I’ve seen it. And you have to love the” “that woman” bit. . .
    Steve: Yup, outta here.

  4. I always thought it was odd that the Commander and Chief could have sexual relations with that woman, very much a subordinate. And military officers were held to a different standard.
