In French, the word for lemon is citron. And oddly, one of the main car companies in France is Citroën. Not sure the genius who came up with that brand. The good news: Peugeot Citroën says its “Hybrid Air” engine system, which runs on gas and compressed air — rather than on gas and electricity, like most current hybrid vehicles — should be ready for the road by 2016. I eagerly await any breakthroughs in this sort of tech. Life gives you citrons, you make limonade. . .
Citroën was founded by André Citroën. So yes you are ridiculing the surname of a brilliant man. We used to do that in kindergarten.
I actually did that through the first grade at least. (And I think the tech is quite amazing. . .)
