Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, AKA Lupe Fiasco

AK-47 Lupe FiascoWasalu Muhammad Jaco, better known as Lupe Fiasco said this: You know, the root cause of terrorism is the stuff the U.S. government allows to happen. The foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists.

The rapper also just vented his oversized spleen at the StartUp RockOn event at Hamilton Live last night, during a pre-inauguration concert. Easy there, Mr. Fiasco. It is a chicken and egg argument. Do we, as a country, inspire terrorism? Or do the terrorists, with their continual violence, spur our response? And if we stopped operations, would they also agree to stop theirs? I think a stalemate is the best solution. It (the conflict) will never end, baring something amazing.

Lupe was eventually thrown off-stage last night and escorted by guards off the premises of the Washington, D.C. concert hall. Do go read what the event organizers said about this little Lupe Fiasco incident. It had nothing to do with his views, sure. What a Fiasco. Of course, if my name was Mo Jaco, I would probably change it too.

  1. Wasalu Muhammad Jaco. AKA ‘Lupe Fiasco’. AKA ‘What A Fiasco’…
Note to self; I must engage my brain before I speak.
Repeat; I must engage my brain before I speak!

Are these people really the role models we all want for our children?

    Yours Aye.
    (Groaning)!

    • What went through his mind when he changed his name to Loopy Fiasco? I’ll wager, not a whole late. (Or a whole latte either. . .)

  2. He certainly looks like he’s impressed with himself…my comment on Yahoo I believe was leftists are never happy even and especially with each other…I wonder how long it will be before someone who has supported Obama in the past comes to realize their mistake? Just askin’….I think he said this just to make himself look important not because he really believes Obama is the same as GWB….and if we really wanted to be honest, frank and George about it, he’s right even though he’s unaware of it….sadly so…what I really hate is the fact that our military is suffering so much for this error in judgment made by the American people….k

  3. Lupe Fiasco was on O’Reilly a couple of years ago and he had quite the attitude. After watching that interview, I’m not surprised about this incident. I dunno maybe he is trying to generate some publicity for himself….there is no such thing as negative press.

  4. Kris: He does look impressed with himself. I am not sure why.
Lauren: RGR. I would be curious to see that interview.
