Lake Lebarge will sound familiar to anybody remembers the The Cremation of Sam McGee by Robert Service. Ocean Gate, an organization with a variety of subs, ROVs, and sonar equipment used it to locate the wreck of the AJ Goddard in Lake Lebarge. It was the first use of 3D sonar mapping that I was privileged to see the results of.
