Should the Debt Ceiling Be Raised?

The question of whether the debt ceiling should be raised is on the front page of Yahoo right now. And this is a snapshot of the current status. I am surprised. Are people (yahoo’ers) tired of the spending in the country or do they not understand the issues?

  1. If I may be allowed to place the following link for all and sundry to peruse (it is not intended to slur any persons intelligence).

We are now entering into the world of ‘off ledger balance book trading’ of politics.

Ever wonder why Germany is repatriating it’s AU Metal from the US as well as France?
Do you ever wonder who owns the AU Metal reserves held in the vaults of the Treasury (just because it’s held there does not mean that it does not have liens or ‘IOU’s’ against it. Just how much of the AU is owned by other countries)?

AU Metal Bullion is bought and sold (as well as loaned against) without the AU being moved (it’s far too heavy to move about in tonnage) so an International banking agreement was made to leave all AU Bullion in place and simply leave responsibility debt markers next to it, simple!

We are all about to find out very soon who owns who what! And do not be amazed if a little war starts some where that escalates into some thing far bigger; it happens to take away real focus from a problem on the doorstep!

Interesting times people, interesting times indeed…

    Yours Aye.

  2. Senator Al Barak el Hussein ibn Obama (Idiot, Illinois) in March, 2006 – “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure,” he said. “It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.”

You can’t shame a Socialist and they’re eternally immune to their own galloping hypocrisy.

    • AND BTW – If the buck really did stop at his desk – he’d have spent it.

  3. EB: Very interesting. Just as interesting is this video, selected from the YouTube clips to the right of your vid. . . You will notice that is RT America, the voice of Russia. Telling us not to worry about the debt. The Debt Is a Myth.
Struan: The buck stops here. The great phrase of leadership.

    • Frightening…

Every one is an expert, except the experts, who expect the expert opinions of other experts to solve such financial mysteries.
(And there we have a creative explanation, designed to create an answer, using smoke and mirror’s).

      Aye.

  4. And Russia is passing this little nugget of information on because they’ve done this themselves and understand exactly what it means…that America will be joining the rest of the world in their own unexceptional behavior….whereas in the past we were exceptional as a country, as individuals who prided ourselves in our values and faith in God-given rights and responsibilities; now we’re the exact opposite….and this is how Obama plans on changing America….making us just like everyone else with no moral clarity of purpose, no confidence in right or wrong and fueled by emotions and feelings and not ideas and critical thought….and certainly no God or faith in Him….sad but true….k
