12-Year Old Girl in Bryan County Shoots Perp

12-Year Old Girl in Bryan County Shoots Robber, rapist, thiefStacy Jones of Texarkana, Texas tried to break into a house in Bryan County, Oklahoma. And a 12-year old girl was alone in her home on Michael Avenue. The perp rang the front bell and then went around to the back of the house and kicked a door open.

The girl then grabbed a gun and hid in a bathroom closet:

He had worked his way all the way through the house and into the bathroom. And from what we understand, he was turning the doorknob when she fired through the door, Says Bryan County Under sheriff, Ken Golden.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it a hundred times. Guns are the great equalizers. I never ask this, but please pass this story around as you see fit. Guess what story the media is focusing on tonight? Yes, an accident at a gun show. A shotgun discharged at the Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh, North Carolina. . .

  1. Must be Robert Heinlein Day – “People who object to weapons aren’t abolishing violence, they’re begging for rule by brute force, where the biggest, strongest animals among men were always automatically ‘right.’ Guns ended that, and social democracy is a hollow farce without an armed populace to make it work.” -

  2. I was just writing about the gun show shootings. I bet a couple of those happen every weekend, somewhere in the country. They all seemed to be accidents of various kinds. Now – the media decides to talk about them like they are worse than all the people who are going to die tonight by other means, including knife attacks, domestic violence, or drunk driving?

This whole thing is making me ill!

  3. This article is talking out of both sides o their mouths !! One story is a girl alone at home and a person breaks in with ulterior motive, supposedly he was a stranger and a criminal or was he ?? She shoots him thru the door, not knowing who he was or did she ?? That makes for a good story I do hope it holds in a court of law…we will never know…..

The gun shows are a different story……I find it unacceptable for any fire arm in a public showing have shells in the chamber. That is absolutely stunning to me that incident happened..The owners of those weapons should get fined or have his dealer license revoked….

    • The point is that the girl has gotten no press where the gun show accident is all over the news. I am not debating whether the gun show incident was bad. Just that the girl’s story should be publicized. If you read the link, and I encourage you to do so, you will see that the girl knew a stranger was ringing her bell. Ie: she did know who he was. . .

    • Once the door was opened and the rape and or assault or pitch for replacement windows was over, only then would this unprotected child clearly know in hindsight whether or not it was proper to shoot and defend herself. After all that whole it’s better to be safe than sorry thing is so out of date.

      • The better-safe-than-sorry thing is never out of date. She saw the man trying to break into the house. She hid. He still tried to kick down the bathroom door. Imagine your daughter there, you fool. . .

  4. We did some target shooting yesterday afternoon – the weather being very nice for a change. My daughter and I shot her handgun – we both have a license to carry concealed. When we checked our target, she said her shots were “high and tight” – reminded me of a Navy haircut.

    • Lou, everything reminds of the Navy! (Although high and tight is a little more Marine Corps than Navy. I do however, like it and wear it like that.)

      • I had an inclination of what that said for…..The conclusion I reached is there is so much sex texinting on Face Book and other places…, she could have unknowinly gave him infor that he could find her….or she did know him thru a friend or shed did not know him under any circumstances, which seems odd……I hope she can get over that emotional trauma she experienced….
