Manti Te’o, Catfished by Lennay Kekua like Nev Schulman

The story of Lennay Kekua and Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o is absolutely crazy. I did learn a new word out of it, though – catfished. It originated from a man by the name of Nev Schulman. Who had this happen to him:

Catfish became a cult movie and later a reality TV show on MTV. And here, Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick puts in his ¥.02.

  1. I heard about this twice in the last few days…it doesn’t make the slightest bit of sense and it was just a snow job and hoax…who knows if this guy just a naive’ and gullible idiot or perpetrated the entire fiction himself…there was no such woman; she doesn’t exist and if she doesn’t, she certainly didn’t die….this is what Rush Limbaugh has been talking about since the start of the New Year; the low information personality who voted to re-elect Obama and he has started this conversation with such people on his daily program…in reality, these aren’t stupid people; they’re just disinterested in reality and think their own made-up fantasies make a better telling about the world…these are people who are perpetually self-involved and exist in a soap opera universe thinking that this constitutes reality and it still doesn’t but it makes a better story than their own reality does or they think it does..how ridiculous have we as a culture become??…that’s just a rhetorical question, Navy One….I’m not looking for an answer, honest…..k

  2. I think it’s sad. I’m going to withhold judgment until the entire story comes out.
