When I was stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, we used to go out fishing on the bay several times a month. The tarpon used to swim by our boat like hulking submarines. They truly are a sight to behold. And in this video, the giant fish grabs a man’s arm and refuses to let go. . .
Usually in fishing, the object is to hook the fish. With a hook, not the crook of your arm.

In Oklahoma it is known as noodling.
I love those noodling shows. It certainly looks fun. . .
That is correct Lou! I don’t know what Tarpon tastes like. But it seems a shame not to have gotten a taste after you have nice scrape on your arm.
I prefer mine from the Fish & Chip shop with plenty of salt & vinegar, wrapped in the traditional way of grease proof paper and then two layers of newspaper…

Served with a Boddington’s or a Belhaven.
Oakie Rover, mate; you have mentioned the ‘amber nectar’ fall down juice!
Equally good on draught, as it is from tins; it’s what your right arm is for!

Where my mate’s wedding took place just around the corner the following afternoon.
Which gets me back to the fact that my mate is nuts about Range Rovers; he and his newly acquired wife spent their honeymoon ‘greenlaning’ for two weeks throughout the UK (Once a Marine Always a Marine)!

You know you’re a true Land Rover owner; when every page of Your repair manual has oily fingerprints…
Long story but I got there in the end!
Aye.
And a right proper story it was. We are looking at a trip that way next year. Not sure I’ll have enough of these

yet, but that’s the plan.
Having the Benjamins for the trip is half the battle. Staying upright with the fall down juice in me is the rest.
Semper Fi.
Great now I am hungry for some fish n chips. . .
