Marriage in the Middle East

Dowries are often paid in the Middle East. But this case of a ninety year-old man trying to “buy” a fifteen year-old girl is revolting. I will say, I am glad there is public traction against these sort of arrangements. Saudi National Association for Human Rights member Suhaila Zein al-Abedin urged authorities to get involved, according to Al Arabiya. It is a start.

  1. Ever notice you never hear the NOW hags or the girls on The Spew having a litter over the barbarism inherent in Islam and Shariah but they’ve got the slavering femigogue Gloria Allred deballing a guy if he opens a door for the ‘wrong’ woman. Go fugure.

    • Excellent point, Struan. NOW seems to have devolved into the equivalent of a procurer. It’s all about arranging sex for women, rather than equality.

  2. This remains a bone of contention with NOW; at least for me…not a peep out of them when it comes to the treatment of women in Middle Eastern countries where Islam insists women are chattel and live as virtual slaves no better than an animal and in fact sometimes much worse; while the misogyny continues…this only proves feminism (actually is progressive/liberal ideology gone wild) remains a fraud and a lie and finally has outlived its usefulness in today’s world…they all slink away into that hole they came out of when something stronger than themselves comes into the light of day…Islamic Fascism is not a pretty companion for these idiots…k

    • What we’ve always done – resist. Resist at every point where our American Constituitional convictions & traditions collide with those opposed.

The 1/64th Seneca Indian, Winston Spencer Churchill is always a good source – “Never give in–never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
