Tom Morrow, Bob Saltsgaver, Corvettes
An article titled the World’s Dumbest Pilots, found in Travel + Leisure, is not likely to be reassuring to those of us who have to fly for work.
The Russian Aeroflot pilots I can forgive, vodka is practically like milk to them. And I don’t have to fly the Moscow to Siberia leg any time soon. (Baring any strange fiscal cliff deals.)
But when I read that US Airways Express pilots Thomas Joseph Morrow and Robert Eugene Saltsgaver III were discussing Corvettes and prom dates (during their little incident), I got nervous. Mostly because I’ve been on that airline. Hopefully not flying with Joe and Bob.
Well, on the plus side, they were at least AWAKE…

I know statistically airplane crashes kill relatively few people, but that fact is quite surprising to me given some of the crazy stories we hear!
