US billionaire Paul Singer convinced the government of Ghana to seize the Argentine Navy ship Libertad in the port of Tema. Subsequently, Argentina appealed the capture to the U.N. International Sea Tribunal, located in Hamburg, Germany. And today, the Hamburger judges ruled in Argentina’s favor. (Hand Salute: NavyDavy, thanks!)
I don’t know who Paul Singer is (except that you say he’s a billionaire). But why did he try to convince Ghana to seize the Argentine vessel? I’m in the dark.
I am not entirely sure who Mr. Singer is. This link says he is a businessman of some renown.
