Pearl Harbor, 71 Years Later

Nevada survivor Woodrow Derby speaks at the unveiling of the new USS Nevada wayside exhibit at Hospital Point on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Derby is in Hawaii as an honored guest for the Pearl Harbor commemoration ceremonies.

  1. The Pearl Harbor Memorial is a really impressive site…when I was stationed at Camp H.M. Smith, HI, it was just down the road a piece….it’s been renovated I understand since I was there…you cannot help but feel the presence of all those souls lost on that day…and of course the entire tour with the film is most informative….k

    1. It has been years since I was last year. I would love to go in uniform. That would be a life highlight, to pay respects to those men.
