Uh oh, we are coming up on Christmas time again. And capturing the new holiday spirit is Officer Lawrence DePrimo, on patrol in Times Square, helping a homeless man with a pair of boots he bought for him:
For some reason, this story makes me think of Where are you Christmas, by Faith Hill.

A class act.
Most definitely.
A very nice man…one deserving of much more respect than most civil servants (police and firefighters, that is) get….
The cop was on GMA this morning but I missed it.
The dross always floats to the surface, the pure always lays beneath. (Old quote from a long gone steel foundry, that I spent some time in as a youth).
We too often hear about the dross in the Police, which I hope is a very low percentage.
In this case we have some pure metal shining through, long may he protect and serve those around him.
Yours Aye.
Kris: A great American, for sure.
CP: Glad to hear he is getting the publicity.
EB: We too often hear the dross. So this is a nice feelgood story. He probably did not expect it.
