Wrong Turns in Life

I’ve heard of wrong turns and then I’ve heard of wrong turns. Jabin Bogan was driving (he works as a trucker) a massive load of ammunition to a Phoenix gun shop. And he took a wrong turn and ended up in Mexico. Then, he tried to return to the United States where he was arrested. 268,000 rounds of ammunition tends to make folks jumpy.

    1. K,
My ex-sister-in-law once drove from Austin to Ardmore, OK, on I-35 when she was suppose to be going to Wichita Falls. I can see how she might miss her turn in Ft. Worth, but how she didn’t notice the Red River or that huge sign that says “Welcome to Oklahoma” I don’t know. You know what I’m talkin’ about – the woman was a ding-a-ling. I’m thinkin’ the same about Mr. Jabin.

      1. Yeah, I guess I do…and with some embarrassment there have been a few incidents in my own life that made me wonder about myself….but then I would ponder and do something that smacked of cognition and I immediately dismissed those niggling little shades of doubt….k

  1. Hands up if you’ve made a mistake in life (my right hand is in the air; high in the air)!

Hands up if you’ve made a mistake in life that involved 268.000 rounds of ammo AND you crossed the border into the United States of Mexico, illegally…(my right hand is now holding a cup of tea).

Oh so that would only be ‘Jabin Bogan’. Who presumably did so in a truck that had a sat-nav system, as well a a cell phone; a minimum requirement for insurance purposes surely?

Well ‘Jabin Bogan’; I am so glad you do not deliver my morning newspapers…

    Yours Aye.
    (Totally Bemused)

    1. Well, jeez, EB, if you have to rely on ‘Wrong-way’ Corrigan (Jabin Bogan, in this case), what else can be said? Have we really become so completely devoid of reason, logic and common sense, we have people driving those huge rigs, completely and obliviously unaware of their surroundings?? I ask you, does this make any sort of monumental sense???….k
