Miami Dolphin Draftee Wears Men’s Wearhouse

Ryan Tannehill and his wife Lauren Tannehill

The NFL Draft brings out the dandies. Some draftees dress to the nines, with ascots, vests, and flowing hankies.

Not so with Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who was drafted by the Miami Dolphins. He wore a suit from Men’s Wearhouse.

Somehow, I don’t think his threads bothered his wife Lauren Tannehill (once Lauren Ufer) or affected his draft pick:

Over at ThePostGame, we put together a list of the best and worst dressed from the first round of the 2012 NFL draft. Former Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill, now of the Miami Dolphins, was on the latter list, with an ensemble we said was out of Men’s Wearhouse.  What we didn’t see was that Tannehill’s look improved when he had his newlywed wife on his arm.

The couple were engaged last May and wed in Mexico this January, just after the end of Ryan’s college football season. They met at Texas A&M.

Lauren works in a cardiology clinic and is an aspiring model. She was excited about her husband’s draft destination, tweeting, “FINS ARE UP!!!!! Miami here we come!!!!!!,” before the pick.

And like all good Texans, they love to shoot guns. Dolphin fans have had low expectations since Dan Marino left. They will settle for a solid .22 or maybe a trusty one-shot 12-gauge. They don’t need fancy at quarterback. They just need the gun to go boom. Maybe Ryan is their guy. . .

  1. Well, let’s hope that Ryan has better sense on the football field. I wonder if George Zimmer will gift him some new suits and a stylist….
