Two days ago, Mexican President Felipe Calderon unveiled a “No More Weapons!” billboard made with pulverized firearms. And it was erected near the US border in Ciudad Juarez, one of the more balmy, peaceful cities in the Northern Hemisphere. Which is what this story is giving me, a hemi:

I’m not sure how to say the word chutzpah in Spanish. I seriously doubt some of those AKs came from the El Paso Bass Pro Shop. And I shudder to think what signs we might build on our side.
That reminds me of a sign that we saw in NM that read, “Greengos go home.”

If weapons are the problem, then he could get rid of lots of them today by banning the Mexican police and military from carrying them.
He could have all police and military weapons melted down into some kind of artwork.
Of course that isn’t going to happen and it shouldn’t because weapons are not the problem.
Criminals are the problem!!
Attack the problem, stupid.
This like blaming matches and gasoline for arson or blaming nice cars for carjackings or blaming pretty girls for rape.
The stupidity here on display is sickening.
How about a sign ” NO MORE ILLEGALS “
How ’bout a sign on our side that says “NO MORE WESTERN UNION, BANK, OR OTHER THIRD PARTY CASH TRANSFERS TO MEXICO.”
You would be astounded at what that would change.
WE SHOULD PUT ONE UP THAT SAYS
“NO MORE ILLEGALS”
