Bloggers and Readers,
I have a challenge! This post below talks about Liechtenstein. Of course, I was only joking about trying to attract a reader (blog visitor) from Liechtenstein. But what if we made it a challenge and opened it up to bloggers? The first blogger to attract a visitor from
Liechtenstein wins. Per Wikipedia, Liechtenstein has 35,789 inhabitants (2009 estimate.) And it is the 209th most populated country in the world.
We will go by the honor system. Check your site analytic tools to show what country your visitors come from. Or if you don’t use them, there are free plug-ins that illustrate what countries viewers hale from.
We can call it the Country Club. Or. . .
And if any talented, artistic reader or blogger wants to design a little badge, that would certainly be great.
You don’t have to be a blogger. Readers, you can do it by postcards. But a real Liechtensteinian HAS to send you a postcard. Okay?
The nervous blogger in me is sitting on the edge of my couch. Remember that old line: What if they gave a war and nobody came?
I have a busy day around town here, but will check back early afternoon. Who is with me?
Update: The gig and jig is up. Indeed, a Liechtensteinian visited here. . .
Update II: I was indeed too hasty in my self-back-patting. Lil C whopped me up.
Ever seen that movie, ‘The Mouse That Roared’? Peter Sellers….hilarious and this little post of yours brings it to mind….k
Hope you’ve gotten the websites I sent about telecommunicating in Liechtenstein…it was kind of fun…but to actually find a citizen of the place might be harder still…this is just skirting around the edges of it….k
Thanks Kris, I just saw them. Good stuff. We will see whether any one else accepts the challenge. . .

Yay, thanks Bookworm! (I was worried I was going to have no one take me up on the challenge. . .)
My brother in law’s wife is from Liechtenstein. He met her at Taco Bell 18 years ago. I’ll pass this on to her. She just got back from the fatherland and may have a few postcards, though I am holding out for chocolate.
MacBeth, alright! Get her to send you a postcard and you can win. . .
I am going to reply to my own comment! MacBeth, how did your brother-in-law meet his Leichtensteinian wife in Taco Bell? That is absolutely side-splitting. . .Do the Leich’s have a weakness for Nachos Belle Grande?

Ok, Navy One – I take your challenge. I have to warn you though, I have had visitors from Croatia and from Turkey, so anything is possible.
Yay, ‘Lil is in. . .
Hey I just had someone from Switzerland, which is right beside Liechtenstein – getting warmer!!
Uh oh. . .
You will never believe it – I actually found one person who visited my blog from Liechtenstein. Seriously, check my blog – the proof is there. That was not too hard. Maybe I should put that kind of effort into attracting English speaking readers from the United States now. Ha!!
I shall make an endevour to attract one of the rare and elusive Liechtenstein’ers.
Hmmm.. I wonder if offer of NOT sending musk sticks would do the trick?

Pax, while I can appreciate the varied pallets of different cultures, I agree with you and would recommend you NOT offer a musk stick to our Liechtenstein friends. Ha! They do make nice perfume though.
Heh heh! We got us an Aussie in the mix!
I can’t compete with any of you guys…much as I would like to…did some of the due diligence but only skirted around the edges…you guys are too good…k
Hey, I gotchur post cards right here!
